Books on understanding programming?
Not so long ago I came to understand that there is a desire to engage in web programming, namely back end development. Since I am not familiar with the basic things of the web, I accordingly faced the question of choosing a language, out of three: PHP, Python and Ruby, I chose Python. I started reading a couple of books, everything seems to be clear, syntax, cycles, lists, constructions, solving some problems, but for some reason there is no feeling of understanding some basics, some initial base and key things, not just Python, but programming in general. Or maybe it's some kind of false sensation?
In general, I would like to read or see something that will give a systematic knowledge base and understanding of what you are doing. It is desirable that it be written in an accessible language, well chewed, arranged on the shelves.
