Books on theory

Good afternoon!
The lack of a strong theoretical basis for further growth began to affect the work. I decided to read books on networks. In view of the large amount of literature, I ask you for advice - what will be advised to lay a strong foundation for networks?
I tried to read Tanenbaum and Olifer - not interesting ...
Now I took Hunt "TCP / IP Network Administration" - it went better ...
What else can be thrown into the "must have" piggy bank?

For routing, I recommend:

  • Heather Osterloh - Routing in IP networks Principles, protocols - a good, solid book not tied to a vendor, though a little old.

According to CCNA:
  • Cisco CCNA Networking Academy Program 1 and 2 (3 and 4) Supporting Guide - Described in sufficient detail, available in Russian
  • J. Bony - Cisco IOS Guide - some topics from CCNA allows you to go deeper
  • Wenstrom M - Cisco Network Security is a book for CCNA Security, but some topics, such as the AAA protocol, I think are useful to know

Maybe this is not quite what you need, and even in English, but I didn’t see anything better - amzn.to/X1tkH4 .
