Blog for a startup. Subdomain or subfolder?

Hello!
The start of the project is approaching and it's time to launch a corporate blog. It will publish project news and various useful articles about sales, marketing, etc. We want to install WP for these purposes, since there are many plugins for it, including SEO plugins. I don't really want to turn the framework (on which our main project is built) into a blogging platform. Here a question arose. Should I place the blog in a subfolder or on a subdomain? For security reasons, we are inclined to a subdomain, but how will search engines perceive it (after all, the main goal is to register users in the service, and the blog is an additional channel for attracting traffic / customers)?

It doesn't matter, the main thing is to make a transparent transition between the subdomain and the main one, a single registration.

1. wp will be broken, programmers don't use wp. need to drupal
2 is necessary. It doesn't matter. on Drupal, subdomain users can perfectly be authorized on the main site (this is called single sign-on for multisite, done by the Drupal Backery module)

For google, all subdomains are all different sites. You can also put it on a subdomain, but there should be a lot of links to the main site, while you will promote both the main site and the blog separately
