BGP: how to configure incoming traffic balancing from two providers?

Hello.

For the first time in my life I encounter BGP. Please help anyone with experience.

Has its own AS198731 and network 5.1.32.0/21. There are 2 providers (AS6739 and AS29119) to which I send the same announcement of this network. I start going to all sorts of “bgp looking glass” services (for example , lg.he.net/ ) on the Internet and see through whom my AS is available. Everywhere - AS6739. I am sending this feast an announcement with 2 prepends. Everything is unchanged, my AS is accessible everywhere through it, although the path through it is clearly longer than through the second one. As soon as I stop announcing my network to this feast, it becomes available through the second one.

Actually a question. Is it supposed to be like this or am I misconfiguring something? I expected that the network would be available somewhere through one provider, somewhere through another.

Thanks in advance

So did you see prepends on looking glasses? If not, either the prepend provider didn't like it, or you didn't clear the session after the change and started watching too early.

It looks like everything has been resolved. Unsubscribed to one of the providers (which was not visible). Che silently corrected and asked to check. Now I see routes through both providers
