Better option to switch languages than CapsLock?

What are better options to switch languages than CapsLock?
Of course, two buttons at the same time - Ctrl + Shift and so on, do not offer.
While I'm leaning towards the option for each language, its own button.
CapsLock -> EN
??? -> RU (which button on the right to highlight under the language?)

Can I buy pedals?...
An additional block of keys for the thumbs?

Left shift - one language, Right shift - the second.
Plus: you can always know which language you have turned on without looking at any icons.
Minus: If you accidentally press the shift, or press it to enter something, but change your mind about entering something, you will need to press another shift to switch back.
Any switches with two keys are flawed, especially if one of them is Alt. Of these, the most intelligent Ctrl + Shift, because. they are both on the left and next to each other, you can press with one finger.

CapsLock is the best.
The beauty of switching CapsLock is that there is a use for this useless button + it is always at hand.
From useless candidates: Num, Scrlk.
