A domain controller is a large set of services deeply integrated with each other (ldap, Kerberos, dns, dfs-r, etc.). Accordingly, on *nix, all this needs to be assembled and integrated with each other + screwed on the management interface. From more or less "ready" I saw: IPA/freeipa, 389 directory server

There are not so many of them, generally speaking - the best or the worst. There is Samba - it's actually a Windows DC without Windows. There is an IPA. What is it and how it works - who knows, I know what it is :)
