Benefits of Permanent Elevator Pitch?

In recent years, we have held many mass events in Novosibirsk, the purpose of which was either to prepare projects for presentation, or the presentation itself.
Moreover, young people naively thought that it was then that they would receive money for their projects.
Most, of course, have already given up, and it’s not just that they don’t want to present their own, but simply don’t come.
Because the experts are "fake" - simply because there cannot be an expert on innovation (all great things were screwed up by experts in their time).
There are no real venture investors - give everyone a win-win business plan 100% understandable to everyone.

Nevertheless, I believe that such events are beneficial.
1. Acquaintances, communication, exchange of experience.
2. Experts usually understand something about business and it is worth learning.
3. Each new report to a new audience is a personal experience (confidence, resourcefulness, speech, ...).
4. Some feedback that you just need to take into account.
5. Additional advertising of your project (albeit a small one).
6. Search for potential partners (opportunity to integrate ideas).
7.???
I would like to compile a list of the pros and cons of such events, taking into account Soviet realities.

If you tune in to such an event correctly (if you are presenting something, or while you are just working on some kind of project), then you can get a big plus in the form of an impulse for further development. Or just looking at other people's projects can give rise to the idea of your own mega-startup.
However, I immediately see the only negative, if you tune in the wrong way, and whine that there are no investors, etc., then you can lose this priceless energy.

Why did you decide that there are no venture investors?
Have you been to the startup point in Novosibirsk last week? What project, in your opinion, can shoot at least 10 million not dollars, but rubles a month?
According to statistics, 1 out of 10 projects is worthy of funding, one out of 10 funded projects shoots up.
In general, at points, experts direct many projects in the right direction in which you can work out the project and present it again, some of the real projects in any case get on the table to investors and go through packaging for presentation to investors who are interested in the project.

First of all, federal-level investors receive a list of startups from the startup point by subscription, and they do not need to attend 50 events to find a project. Vitaliy said that the startup point is positioned as a startup store.
There were at least 5 people on the point who could invest in projects.
One thing is for sure, that I don't know a single startup project that came from Novosibirsk.

Separately, the disadvantages of participation are of interest.
Why and in what cases it is not necessary to participate in the presentation of the project?

Didn't find what you were looking for?
