Autodesk Revit 2013-2014-2015 and point clouds
We have a laser 3D scanner, and our engineers went into revit 2013 and inserted a point cloud in xyz format there, they get the pcg format, which they then work with. Then Revit 2014 appeared, in which you can no longer do this operation directly. In technical support, we were offered to do the ReCap Scan project first, and then open it in revit. The problem is that ReCap, for some reason, thins out point clouds, and no settings affect this, nor disabling filtering. nothing. I suggested that they transform our data set themselves and send the result. Received the same as the file itself, as we ourselves did, up to a byte. Maybe someone came across and has his own technique? What is it, autodesk lowered the accuracy for the sake of performance? Sorrow-sorrow.
