At what stage of learning Java should you switch to Kotlin Android?

Hello, I am learning Java in order to further create Android applications on Kotlin (Java in order to better understand the work of Kotlin).
Moved from C# to Java and am learning syntax fast. On the metasite, I settled on Generics and I'm thinking of switching to Kotlin after studying collections and lambda expressions (without studying multi-threaded programming, Stream API, etc., i.e. purely chapter 2 - basics, chapter 3 - oops, and goodies in the form of collections and lambdas).

Is it worth switching to Kotlin Android after such a large amount of studied material, or is there something else worth learning?

You are asking as if after switching to Kotlin, all sources of information about Java will be closed to you. If something is missing, you can always return.
And on the merits of the question: yes, you can go.
