ASUS x550cc i3, 4 giga RAM, nvidia 2 giga 128 bit works rather weak, what could be the problem? It slowly starts Windows 10, it slowly opens chrome, and when chrome opens it takes about 10 seconds before it can be used. It costs a regular HDD and balanced power settings. Some modern games also do not draw even on medium settings.

the hard drive is guilty, firstly, those on laptops (2.5 ") are noticeably slower than those for PCs, however, it is possible to replace them with an ssd or wd black series (in the black itself, much faster than usual) you have a main problem during boot time, if I understand correctly, so for the sake of interest, even when opening chrome, you can look at the task manager - what is the load on the disk system (fortunately, the 10k manager can do this), actually everything rests on it. ) and yes, update drivers)

Install an SSD, add memory.
With an SSD, programs will run an order of magnitude faster, and 4g of ram is a living wage (Chrome alone eats 3 GB lightly for 10-15 tabs).

I noticed the first thing, if the HDD does not have enough power, everything starts to hang terribly, the sites open for about 5 minutes.
At the same time, in the task manager, it is not loaded at all and my PC is a little better than yours.
So I can say the following:
1) You made an upgrade but failed to update the PSU, or connected more than it can pull out, well, or he is already tired of life
2) You have trouble with the HDD, check it for bad sectors, because of this also often everything hangs terribly long, or try some other
3) And if you want everything to work quickly, switch from HDD to SSD

You bought a laptop, what games are you talking about? In addition, the laptop is VERY weak. It's not even a so-called "gaming" laptop.
Apparently you were told all sorts of fairy tales in the store, but you still believe.
To slightly improve the situation with the launch and boot, replacing the HDD with an SSD drive.

I have an ASUS x52j laptop, even older than yours. It costs Windows 7, for specific Windows software, it is similarly unpleasant to work, it slows down even in chrome. Installed Ubuntu, switched to Arch a year later. The car literally changed, everything is fast and stable. Windows has not started for a couple of years. In no way am I campaigning for Linux, this is a matter of preference and the specifics of using a computer, but as a solution to your problem, it seems to me worth considering. 76b13a2e5f4d42f286ffa1edeffe4add.pngI increased the RAM to 8GB just yesterday, just an inexpensive opportunity appeared, all the years before that I was sitting on 4GB, just like you.
