Asus Vivobook laptop is very slow, is there any way to fix this?

I bought the X540 model last year with the originally installed OS endless, I didn’t use it much, but now I needed to sit in the discord / zoom, but after a minute of talking, the device starts to slow down and stops making sounds. Of course, I understand that the laptop is quite cheap and it is several years old, but it is strange not to support such light programs. I wrote to asus support, but they answered me briefly and without specifics, maybe someone knows how to improve performance

First, remove the installed antivirus and enable Windows Defender, then go to system settings and start searching for updates. Once the updates are installed, start the search again. Then again. When all the updates are installed, let the laptop stand on for a couple of hours so that the indexing works.
Also go to the power saving settings and move the sliders to "Performance".

To begin with, it is worth voicing a specific processor model and the amount of RAM.
Next, take a program to view the temperature of the processor and video card, see what is there with the temperature during operation, we can overheat it.
It is not entirely clear about the operating system, if there is still endless, then it is certain to endure this misunderstanding and install the usual Windows.
