Is it possible to replace the matrix from tn to ips on a lenovo z580 with a higher resolution?
There is a lenovo z580.
The matrix burned out, a new cheapest one was installed in an inexpensive s.c. as a temporary solution.
This means that 40 pins are used, located behind (from the screen itself), on the left is the port.
I'm interested in the possibility of installing a matrix with a large (now 1366x768 resolution), preferably of good quality, in such a laptop. At least 1600x900, I saw on sale with such a resolution IPS MATRIXES with the same cable connection port. I ask you to poke your nose at a specific model, which (perhaps after the firmware) will work on my hardware.
Thank you in advance!

Can. I replaced on my Lenovo Z500 TN 1366x760 with IPS 1920x1080, although in the Z500 line only with TN 1366x760. Just look in AIDA64 or similar for the type of matrix and use the specification to select the one to replace.
There are times when manufacturers save on a cable, which from the video card to the matrix - there are not enough wires (the solution is described in the link below). They also often put cables that are not separate wires, but a tape - then it will be very problematic to insert the missing parts.

Here you need to google and compare specifications for different matrix models.
In addition to the interface, there are other important details, such as the thickness of the matrix.
First of all, you need a specification for a standard matrix.
Offhand, no one will answer.
often if a laptop has all the variety of models designed for one resolution, this resolution is wired into the vidyuhi and it cannot do anything else. I wanted to do the same with my acer 3820 - but judging by the practice of people who have already tried to do the same, the matrix starts working, but with a large "frame", the image does not go to full screen. people tried to look for resolution settings in the firmware, but came up with nothing in the end.
I can say the following: as mentioned above, if the matrix is of low resolution, then the cable will always be designed for it. It is not always possible to throw in the missing pairs, they may not be divorced on the board, and besides, they still need to be found. 1600 and 1900 the same number of pairs. In any case, if you don’t know how to use a soldering iron and don’t understand what to look for, then it’s better not to try, just ruin the laptop, then you still have to pay for restoration)
