Asus 1008p Eee PC does not see the bootable flash drive, what to do?

Good afternoon!
There is Asus 1008p Eee PC 2gb of RAM. Can't see bootable flash drive in bios. Removable disc is listed first in the download. Booting from a flash drive does not occur. Regardless of whether a flash drive is inserted or not, nothing changes. What to do?
And what OS would you recommend, native was once Windows7 starter edition, now 10 is zasranaya. Wanted to try Lubuntu.
Thank you!

What did you do with the flash drive?
Try reloading the flash drive using the Windows USB/DVD Download Tool

2 giga RAM
This is a diagnosis, normal work will not work.
But if at least somehow to move - put an SSD, and Windows7

@Skild

How many flash drives have you tried? Maybe a problem with the flash drive.
10 is fine for 2gig. Another question is what do you want from a laptop, choose an OS from this.
