Are there xdsl modems that would not be able to work as a router? And if so, does anyone remember the model?

"would be able to work as a router" it means without nat diashsipi and other things like that. Just a dumb signal translator from xdsl to ethernet and vice versa.

Pay attention to the AT-MMC6005 from Allied Telesis, this is a VDSL2 media converter. Other manufacturers should have the same.
