Is it possible in any way to expand the number of usb ports by using the laptop's hdmi connector for this?
After all, there are monitors on the market that contain usb hubs. So, are there such "hubs" separately from monitors?
That is, the HDMI cable goes to the splitter device for a certain number of usb ports, and from there it goes to the monitor. Thus, not only the video signal comes to the laptop, but also the peripherals are connected to it via usb.

monitors with usb ports are either connected via usb-c / thunderbolt, or with a separate usb cord.
