Hello.
I have a Dell U2412M monitor which has DisplayPort but not HDMI. There are also many HDMI video sources (console, tuner, etc.) that you need to connect to it.
Are there any simple adapters for such a case?

There is an HP ElitBook laptop with a DP output and a NEC monitor with a DP input - for some reason it did not work via the DP - DP cable. I
put a DP-DVI adapter in the laptop and connected the monitor with a DVI-DVI wire - it still works.
I join Dmitry - use an HDMI-DVI adapter and a DVI-DVI cable or an HDMI-DVI cable and you will be happy! I have them at work, no problems.
