Are there any problems when developing applications that require determining the orientation of a mobile device in space? For example, to compare the available coordinates with the observed object.
Why I ask: I saw several android devices that determined the north with such a wild error that I feel there is a very sharp pitchfork for the mass use of such applications.

compass and orientation of the device - different things
compass often - ordinary A-GPS + gyroscope
where there is a real compass (as in a watch, for example) - there is a compass, xs is true where it is in Android
