After viewing several crowdfunding sites, I was left with the impression, of course, in my personal opinion, that there is a complete absence of engineering start-up activity in Russia. More like some kind of relief fund. Basically, there are “let's release a book”, “write a song”, “make a film”, “collect for gifts”, “help a child”.
This is all very useful and cool, I hope it really helps people, although the amounts there are ridiculous. But technical ideas are not visible at all, does such a platform exist? Specifically, in my case, we are launching a wireless room automation project and I’m even somehow not sure whether it’s worth trying the existing sites or looking for another way to get funds?

Maybe it's all about advertising a particular project. And where to bring the money is not so important. Personally, I would love to read about the project, and if it seemed to me thoughtful and real, I would bring money - the topic is interesting.
I have a counter question, if you will allow me - what are you risking? No one interferes with seemingly getting funds in different ways, for example - luck in raising funds, even if only part of the amount, can be a good argument for attracting investors. This is not just a "like", relatively speaking, because here a like is confirmed by some amount of money.

Nothing will work on Russian sites if the amount is more than $ 5,000 - and it is more, I'm sure :) It's better to take proven services. Personally, I used Indiegogo, because Kickstarter has problems with the CIS, but, unfortunately, the project was only 60% completed, but I didn’t even advertise it in any way. I am sure - if you wish, you will succeed. :)
