Are there any chances to work in large companies without having a VO?
Having superficially tried many areas of software development, I settled on game development, as it is really interesting and enjoyable. But is it possible to work in gamedev without higher education? I'm talking specifically about AAA-level game development, and not about unity offices that work every week on a new "3 in a row" for mobile phones.
In my city, there are only vacancies for gamedev from Wargaming and Ubisoft. The requirements are not very different, except that the latter require knowledge of technical English. But they do not require VO, they have not written about this anywhere.
If we consider vacancies from other countries, then there (not everywhere) they require VO exactly in CS or SE, moreover, they write so directly in the requirements that they need a bachelor's degree or higher in CS.
I'm not studying in the best, without exaggeration, sharaga, I can't find a specialty and there's no point in studying there. But I don't see much point in getting an education somewhere else. Unless, after training, go over the hill and try yourself there, there would be money.
Should I be concerned about this issue?

There are many companies. There are many projects. There are many leaders.
You understand that the decision does not depend on the opinions of random people on the toaster, but on the specific project manager or HR-ra who will consider your resume.
And if everyone on the toaster tells you “no one needs VO”, and the project manager says “no VO - goodbye”, you won’t convince him with screenshots from the toaster.
Go to them directly and ask when applying for a job.
But they do not require VO, they have not written about this anywhere.
Here I work in a large office (30k employees). I know that in some departments they take without a military education, in some - no. It's all at the mercy of the leader. I wouldn't take it myself.
