Are there advantages to the Surface battery driver?

Good day.
As far as I can remember, always in the device manager, the battery had default firewood from small soft ones. Something out there with ACPI-compliant control. It works flawlessly, even if something is clumsy, then I did not know anything about it.
Recently I had the opportunity to install Windows on a Microsoft Surface Windows laptop, and was surprised that for it, it turns out, there is a driver for the battery in the firewood package. Moreover, this driver can be installed on any other laptop (I checked).
Actually, the question is: what does this give Surface laptops and other laptops? Perhaps the Surface has special batteries? Or maybe this driver is not of much use?
