Are the bios version and chipset really irrelevant if a large disk will be used solely for data storage?

Good day. In general, the essence of the question is stated in the title: is it true that neither bios, nor the chipset, nor the age of the motherboard itself are important if a large disk (6-8 TB) is used not as a boot disk, but exclusively as storage for files, after OS boot?
