Now, at the end of 2016, are Sorax's video tutorials on JavaScript and CSS still relevant? Or are they already outdated?

Yes, Sorax's videos are still relevant. The only thing worth remembering is that in the video about JS he told everything using ES5, and now ES6 is slowly but surely coming to our world, i.e. everything that he said is still relevant, but a little supplemented by the new standard (which can be parsed as an addition to the previous one in a couple of days).

Definitely relevant, especially for js. Yes, this is not ES6, but for beginners, as for me, you need to start in ES5. In terms of layout, there are also many worthwhile ones, especially CSS tooltips and a 3D cube.
