Are notebook Socket 478 (mPGA478B) and Socket 479 (mPGA479M)/Socket mPGA478C compatible?
Good afternoon!
There is an old laptop on Mobile Pentium 4-M 2.00 Ghz:

CPU
to the top Pentium M:

use Pentium M for Socket 479 using an adapter; Asus adapter reviews say it's only for desktops.
CPU Sockets Chart: pclinks.xtreemhost.com/sockets.htm
The "Socket 479" article on the same Wikipedia says that "There are special adapters that allow you to use the Pentium M for Socket 479 in motherboards with Socket 478, for example, Asus CT- 479.".
Interested in the question: is it possible in this case to upgrade to Pentium M? If so, what adapters (or anything else) will be required for this?
UPD: shortened links through a shortener, because. they were too long and were not fully perceived by the Toaster.

Any adapter has a height. If you stick it into the laptop - the native radiator will not get up, the case will not assemble. You have to cut a hole in the bottom.
My IMHO is to change the processor to a top one compatible with the motherboard by socket without any adapters.
