Archive archiving speed? What does it depend on?

What determines the speed of archive archiving?
What should you pay attention to when buying a PC, so that the PC compresses files into the archive as quickly and as strongly as possible?

Depends on the frequency of the processor, sometimes on the number of cores, on the speed of the memory. And of course, from the compression algorithm, moreover, “maximum compression” and “maximum performance” are directly opposite things, maximum compression is the slowest! The dependence on the disk, its speed, and the amount of memory is very small, all modern disks cope remarkably and in several threads, not to mention the SSD.
Today one of the fastest lz4 is https://github.com/lz4/lz4/blob/dev/README.md
Oh yeah, not everything compresses equally well. For example, pictures, audio and video files are already quite well compressed, they already use quite good compression algorithms, and it is almost useless to compress them additionally. Moreover, the size after compression may increase!
