Android Studio not updating?

I put Android Studio on trial, the distribution kit does not contain its latest version - it is assumed that the update is made by its own updater.
However, the update fails - when I try to check for updates, the updates are found, I click on download and install - a small part (maximum 1 MB out of 8) of the update is downloaded in a couple of seconds, then the update stops tightly. Gradle studio also could not download, I had to install it manually, but I did not find the actual patches from the studio.
Then I remembered that Eclipse had exactly the same problem - the download started briskly, and then stopped, it was not really possible to solve the problem.
Disabling firewalls did not help, I did not find a similar problem in Google, however, I have little idea how to search.
What else can you try?

Remove the installed from the distribution and put the pens in the home directory.
Applications installed from the distribution kit usually do not offer automatic updates not from the distribution kit.
Well, it is not updated because you most likely do not have write permissions to the directory in which the package manager of your distribution installed applications (and should not be).
