Android: no such table "android_metadata"?

Has anyone encountered a similar error?
How did you decide?
I know that I need to specify the NO_LOCALIZED_COLLATORS flag in openDataBase(), but the problem occurs when calling getReadableDatabase(), which apparently does not use this flag when opening the database.
As an option: you can try to create a table manually in an existing database, or programmatically, but to create a table programmatically, the database must be open.
