And no one thought about a device for highlighting (determining) holes on the road?
After a trip along almost spring plowed roads, I wondered if there was a device for warning about pits, or on what principle such a device would have to work?
Searching the Internet gave only Street Bump for ipod. But we still don’t have such a level of interaction between drivers and prosperity for a tablet/smartphone in every car.
And the illumination of the pit by the forces of the car itself would be much more efficient than working with a data server.
I would like to know about the pits a little earlier, because at speed you don’t have time to react to them. In other words, I would like to sit two meters above the ground than landing in a conventional car.
It would be interesting to learn about the possibility of recognizing the pit, for example, with a video recorder and a small pocket PC. Or a rangefinder, perhaps an ultrasonic device like parking sensors.
Perhaps it is possible to highlight the pits with paint reflecting a certain spectrum of radio waves, and in the car to have a short-range radar (50-150m) at a given frequency. It's cheaper to paint a hole than to repair it.
PS
Perhaps I was looking badly and such a technology already exists, then I will be happy with the links.

The idea is certainly good, I would even use this one, but knowing the roads outside the city, the device will say “You are eating in a hole, find a way!”.
I think it's wiser to focus on patching holes and improving the pavement than on finding them. Therefore, such devices are not sold.
Put the laser that shines in a line on the torpedo and point it at the road. As soon as a piece of the line disappears - there is a hole)
The idea is wonderful and auto manufacturers need to knock. It will become the most demanded feature for the CIS market.
Turn on the fog lights, the pits become visible at a glance.
Dasha does not need to write an application.
There is one technology that always helps me, called "dipped beam headlights." If it doesn't work, try wiping your headlights with a wet rag or washing your car.
Such a device is used by amers on their military hummers for night driving. In order not to get into a surprise, there is a laser projector on the roof of the Hummer, with a blue laser scanning the radial grid. The entire terrain is visible very clearly.
