An old dinosaur can't handle many games, hmm..?

The bottom line is that I don't want to buy a new computer yet. Only next year.
I would like to understand what exactly is the snag, what needs to be changed:
Video card: Nvidia GT 430, 1gb
Proc: AMD Athlon X2 4600+ (2.4 GHz)
Mat. Board: EliteGroup 761GXM -M
Sound: Realtek ALC655 @ SiS 7012 Audio Device PCI
RAM: Patriot Memory PSD22G80026 (2Gb) ^ Kingston 99U5316-028.A00LF (1Gb)
PSU: 500w
Basically, it is the sound that lags in games. What exactly needs to be replaced?
Just do not need stupid answers, like: Comp is a dull G, throw it out the window, buy a new one, etc. etc. Please :D
I am aware of all this, I will get rid of it in a year, but now there is no need)
I ask for your help!

AM2 socket and DDR2 memory? My advice is don't change anything. The processor and memory rested on the slot, the video card does not need to be changed, since the processor will not pull it out, and the PSU too. The sound lags due to processor overload. If you want to solve only this problem, then you should look for a free hardware card on PCI-E 1x or better on PCI and try with it. I also advise you to remove the overclocking of the processor (if any)

Eh ... I just wanted to say :)
But it’s not so dull at all, it’s not better for myself now, RAM is only 8GB and SSD, well, the percentage is twice as high in the cores, well, the vidyuha is twice as much :D
The sound mostly lags because of the HDD, try to beat the sound quality to the floor in the sound settings of the games.
No matter how funny it sounds, but also do defragmentation (if not ssd)

The best option is to buy an ssd and install OSes and games on it, but you will have to get used to memory limitations, but there will be an increase in speed. And then in a year you will rearrange the ssd to a new PC -)
