An analogue of Nokia PCSuite Ovi-Suite for Android?

It is often more convenient to type some text on the computer and press send than to do it on the communicator.
Is there the same software for Android OS, for sending SMS, managing contacts and etc, not tied to a specific manufacturer? How, native means of the operating system or some kind of client-server, is not important. Sending SMS from the operator's website does not work, due to the lack of contacts.
