No questions, just a warning: yesterday my HTC One asked me to reboot after the update, after which it turned off and turned ugly. Does not respond to any external influences.
Against this background, I would probably wait with the update =)

There is Maximus with 4.3 on board, there are no problems. Looks like either stock with some kind of bug (which is unlikely, they are probably testing the same), or after some of your actions, it coincided that after the update it got ugly.

I downloaded the update tonight, put it on HTC One in the morning.
The mobile phone didn't turn off.
Did you keep it on charge at the time of installing the update? (And not that, maybe the battery was discharged during the firmware - such an event can indeed corrupt it.)

I had this on skis - it looks like mashing the boot sector. It was possible to fix it only with a programmer, unfortunately.
