[Amazon Glacier] Downloaded 10 GB and requested 10 GB. == pay $215?

Who can say how much you will have to pay at the end of the month:

1. I uploaded several files to Amazon Glacier, with a total volume of 10 GB.
2. Clicked the "Get Inverntory" button on the package in CloudBerry Explorer. A few hours later, all files (all 10 GB) became available for download.
3. Downloaded the file 1 Mb.

I read read the pricing policy - I did not understand how much it would cost. According to forums.aws.amazon.com/message.jspa?messageID=374065#374065 it seems to be around:

10 * 720 * $0.01 = $72 (maximum if files were extracted in an hour)
10/4 * 720 * $0.01 = $18 (in average if retrieved in 4 hours)

According to dastapov calculator: docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApRoNPfyqZlFdDI5UUlmbE8yMjF4MDFZaHRHenFWVXc- it turns out $215.

So how much do you have to pay for 10 GB.?

Everything is correct. If you exceed your free limit, then you start paying according to the formula that you indicated. Which works, so that the less time you spend on the jump, the more money you pay.
To find out for how much you will download your 10 GB, you first need to decide how long you plan to download everything and then get the final cost.

In general, I fell for the bait: I read about prices only what is written in the Price section. I thought everything was as written there: 10 cents for storage, 120 cents for downloading and ~ 10 cents for delivery. It turned out to have fooled 100 times more expensive to pay.
I just didn't expect such a scam from Amazon. It seems to me that even in Russia, reputable offices do not allow themselves such hidden prices. You can, of course, overpay 2-3 times, but that 100 times is nonsense.

Update: Amazon changed Glacier pricing on 21 December 2016, about 11 months after this was originally posted. The “gotcha” pricing described herein is no longer in effect, replaced by simple per-GB retrieval fees.
