After loading content with an SVG element via AJAX in chrome, it is not displayed, any ideas?

After loading content with SVG element
$('.cart-popup__wrapper').load('index.php?route=common/cart/info .cart-popup');
such an element inside

...
<button class="cart-popup__product_cart-remove">
  <svg>
     <use xlink:href="img/sprite/sprite.svg#cancel"></use>
  </svg>
</button>
...

It doesn't display the image in Chrome, it's fine in other browsers, any ideas?
