In my practice, there was a case - the monitor matrix itself was practically not affected after it was hit, but a short circuit occurred inside the monitor due to the fact that the matrix substrate, which had bent from the impact, came into contact with the electronic components. The monitor was subsequently successfully repaired in the service.
