AD vs SambaDC vs FreeIPA, what to choose?
Hello, we have about 200 people in our company and I'm going to implement a domain network, but I don't know which one to choose.
This year, most of our computers will be on Linux (import substitution), a small part will remain on Windows.
Please tell me if I put the usual Active Directory, will it work with Linux? Will it be possible to enter into the domain, give access to shared folders, change any group policies?
Or is it better to use solutions on Linux, but will they support all the most necessary things?

Why do you need AD if most of the machines are on Linux? Centralized account management can be organized without buying a license for server Windows, for example.
If most of the machines are Linux, I would choose FreeIPA.
Active Directory will work with Linux, but if you are switching to Linux anyway, then there is no point in installing Active Directory.
Purchase a license, install Active Directory. It works great with Linux, plus it's easier and more convenient to administer, plus there is a lot of documentation and manuals for popular tasks, which will perfectly cover all your needs, plus there will be no problems with Windows machines in the domain.
