The only inconvenience is the need to duplicate DNS records on Windows DNS.

different solutions:
1. create a _http.tcp entry in the dns of the srv domain from the IP of your site. when accessing http: //site.ru, the external IP address will be substituted
2. create a www entry with the IP address of your site in the domain.ru zone.
users within the network access the site via www.site.ru
3. on the domain controller, redirect to IIS to your site
4. rename the domain
