How to bring a new site to the position of the old one?

Hello!
Tell me how to do it right, we made a new site, on a new domain, the old site on the old domain has long been indexed in search engines and naturally it appears in the search, and not in bad positions.
Is it worth doing some kind of redirect and what is the best way to do it in this situation? The domain change was inevitable.

If you want to leave both the old and the new site open for indexing, then you need to worry about affiliation, or rather, that Yandex does not know that both sites of the same subject represent the same company. And then start SEO of the new site according to all the rules of optimization, collection and clustering of semantics, pagination, semantic, technical optimization, work with commercial factors (if the site sells services or a store) and so on.
If you do not need the old site, then you should transfer its weight to the new domain, and then, if the new site is not inferior to the old one in terms of the quality of internal optimization, then there will be a big result in the growth of positions. You can do this in the following way:
This will be enough to completely transfer the weight from the old site to the new one. The only thing is that in your case there may still be many nuances, so either let the URLs look, or hire a specialist for advice, as you can lose old traffic and not get new one :)
