Ad blocker inside android apps?

Some apps are simply amazing with the amount of shameless advertising. Are there any analogues of a browser adblock that reliably cuts out ads?

Ours locally, then you root the phone and wrap all traffic through the firewall into a banner hall, and if not locally, then vpn with the service to cut banner traffic
