Accessing https from Windows XP?
I have Windows XP on VirtualBox. But there is a problem with access to sites via https. Somehow screwed TLS 1.1 from Windows Embedded POSReady (probably TLS has something to do with this). Some sites started to open, but there was a problem with certificates. Installing certificates from the Microsoft site did not help. Moreover, all programs that require Internet access do not work (for example, loading plug-ins from programs, etc.). So I thought, maybe you can install something like a proxy on Linux so that windows connects to sites through it. Or maybe there is something else?

Follow traffic.
The problem is complex. The first is libraries, and the second is a set of root certificates.
It may help to migrate these root certificates from new systems.
Well, it's still a creepy legacy
And if you try to install cygwin (the latest version no longer supports windows xp, but you can find a version on the network that still supports), there will be your own openssl in the environment, and put some more or less normal browser there? although I did not find either firefox or chromium in the list of packages, maybe some qupzilla will do. It is on qt, and Qt under Cygwin uses openssl.
Although Qupzilla is also outdated, and qtwebengine is not there, falkon is also ... also not a very option, maybe to compile from source, but it takes a long time and there can be a wide variety of problems, cygwin's compatibility is not ideal.
