A lot of people use Github for portfolios, but I have test repositories piling up, how do I separate portfolio projects from test repositories?

Hello.

I'm just starting my way as a developer, maybe my question is frankly stupid and all the solutions to my problems have existed for a long time, but requests to Google, to be honest, didn't give me much (most likely I wasn't looking for something).

At the same time, I like to use github repositories in order to have github-pages and visually show my work with layout and front part.

Yes, I work with a local server, but sometimes I have to show other people some part of the work or submit test tasks. These repositories are starting to accumulate, it’s a pity for me to delete them for the time being (because sometimes I return to them to remember my work)

So how do I organize my github profile so that when I view it, I can clearly see which repositories I have in my portfolio, and which ones I use as tests, except for the names?

Perhaps somewhere it is more convenient to do this than on github, knowledgeable people please tell me.

Make test repositories private, no? Why do they need someone other than you personally? And those who need to show something in a private repository can be added to the appropriate group / given rights to the repository.
