Zadolbalo: Android messes up. It is impossible to listen to music in the subway! Are you like that too?
Given: HTC One X, standard system music player, HTC headset is the most common beats of some kind.
I'm going to the subway, near each station at the entrance and departure, the music starts to stutter for a couple of seconds.
Obviously, at this moment, the connection with the base station of the cellular operator is being established or disconnected.
3G is forcibly turned on, however, GSM does not make the weather.
The question is, what the hell? 4 cores of 1.5 gigahertz are not enough to play regular mp3-nis?
The firmware is stock, default, everything is updated to the latest version.
I tried other players, I don’t like them, some stutter in the same way, others are miserable in themselves and do not know how to do what I need.
How to be something?

In PowerAMP, you can increase the priority of the process, it can help. Great player by the way. I don't have such problems.
Why write such things? Now I'm afraid to change my HTC Desire HD to Samsung Note 2 or S3!
I have LG Optimus One on JB. The standard player stutters during manipulations, Google Music works stably without stuttering (if the RAM runs out, it can unload temporarily, but then returns and plays, but this rarely happens) I also used DeadBeef under android on 2.3 earlier - it was forced to play even at maximum loads.
By the way, try Google Music with cloud music. I even tested listening in the subway without offline mode - while the music from the cache is playing, I managed to get to the place where the network catches. On the street in the promise, then an acceptable speed comes out. And so I usually have 2000 songs in the library and 2-3 albums off. When I need to poke offline and listen to what I want. I don’t feel like holding 10 gigs of music, and now it’s convenient for me to update the library and listen from a tablet. I just download it on my computer, poke the folder into Google sync and in a few minutes it is already cloudy on all devices.
One thing, for Google Music to work, you need to do it oncego through a proxy with SSL or VPN with an American address, click Upload on the top right and accept the agreement. A window will appear on the screen that you can download the program to your computer for synchronization or download via the web interface. Then you can already download and listen to music through any IP.
If necessary, I can give the desired proxy. I will not write here, because you need it yourself, otherwise crowds of people can beat him up.
In flight mode, check if it will stutter. Well, just for the sake of experiment :)
I confirm, the Galaxy S3 stutters when I get off the subway. In the first galaxy, by the way, this was not observed.

Read books instead of music :) But seriously, we get the root and increase the priority. (or try custom firmware, where it can be done by default)
And if you turn off the Internet, the problem will be? On hauls between stations, the sense of the included 3G is somehow doubtful, only the battery is uselessly eating. And when you get up to the exit - turn it on.
Try an experiment - set the volume in your headphones at home, and then go down to the subway and turn on the music. I did three experiments (earbuds, earplugs and large closed mugs) and swore off listening to music on the subway.
But seriously, check if the equalizer is turned on - they are usually extremely demanding on resources. As a last resort, you can try to ride in airplane mode - the gsm module can be naughty when it loses and searches for stations.
Weird. On Xperia Arc PowerAmp does not stutter even when working through a BT headset. But I have another problem: on the native firmware, the MW-600 headset shows the names of the calling people, if they are in contacts, but does not show the names of the tracks from the player. On custom AOKP, everything is exactly the opposite. I put a few more options for third-party firmware - everywhere the same picture: either one or the other.
I recently purchased an Orange Monte Carlo (aka ZTE Skate). I put a 16 gig card (class 4) into it, recorded 10 gigs of music. On a standard player, everything drives faster, even when scrolling through a song - the delay in milliseconds is not even noticeable. I have never had anything like this, although in this device I have a rather poor network connection (1-2 cubes usually). When I go down to the subway and go up from it, the network works on and off, but the music does not even think to stutter. Or maybe the Spanish subway is a little different? :)
