Zabbix not hooking up SNMP devices?

The question is:
Zabbix does not see or connect to SNMP devices. In my case Zyxel GS2200-48.
At the same time, snmpwalk works from the host on which Zabbix is running without problems.
Zabbix is built with SNMP support, this can be seen in the log at startup.
Where else can you look?
