Depends on knowledge of software + YaP. I can only suggest standard directions for all QA interviews.
1) HTTP protocol
2) Browsers, browser console
3) SQL (requests)
4) API test (software)
5) Knowledge of PL, OOP
6) Testing theory (regression, smoke, difference in boxes, etc.)
7) MP testing (software)
8) json/xml formats
I've been interviewing testers a lot lately. I began to answer you in detail, it turned out so much text that I decided to write a full-fledged article on this topic. True, there is more information on hiring a manual junior. But on some questions, half of the more experienced QA will fall. I posted it on the spark in the blog of our project: https://spark.ru/startup/neaktor/blog/31094/nanyat...
A summary of the questions on the interview itself:
A separate test task checks the registration of defects.
Most of the questions are "open", that is, you can stop the applicant at any time and ask to clarify what they did. For example, "Performance testing? Let's take a closer look. What subtypes do you know? What is the difference between Load and Stress testing? How will you conduct performance testing?"
Or, for example, another task to think about. When is interface testing a functional test and when is it not? Give an example.
When it comes to senior interviews, more technical questions are a must. Artem gave good examples above. But here you can generally ask about a lot of things. From how you will test the API to queries in noSQL databases. Also ask testers with experience about test coverage matrices, test planning, test documentation development cycle, and so on.
Hope it helps you.
