Which language to choose for test automation?

Good afternoon!
There was a great desire to start doing automated tests. I would like to know your opinion, which language is better to start learning in conjunction with Selenium WebDriver? I tend to PHP, but I heard the opinion that for such purposes it would be better to master Ruby. I also know that Java Script is popular for these purposes. What is the best place to start?

Well, Ruby on Rails is not a language at all.

it is usually more convenient to write tests in the same language in which you develop the product under test.
