Yii2 installation no Vendor folder?

It's just xs where to climb, everywhere there is no specific answer why! Straight infuriates yopt.
Installed composer, installed YII2 through it there is no vendor folder, composer update - 0 reaction
Help please)

Advanced or Basic?
If advanced, then go to the project directory and run the "php init" command in the terminal.
