Yii vs pure php?
there is a need to write approximately the following functionality
- masters can edit the records of their site (consists of several sections)
- units of the site can view the data of their subdivision
- management can view all sites (all)
a friend advises using yii. only I have not a tooth in it with my foot. php is closer and dearer. Of course, I understand that the framework is cooler and more promising. but how much flexibility does it have? Suppose in php I can implement the following - when you click on the add record button, a line appears where it can set all the data. but when adding, I specify the equipment number onlyread and the user technically cannot update it. Also, by default in AI, the creator of the record is also granted deletion. I do not need it. can eat what simple ways?

Well, learning the framework will take time, but then it will save a lot of it :) In addition to Yii, you can look at Laravel, for me it’s easier to start with it.

if serious use is planned, a framework is better.
plus, pumping in the framework will never be superfluous.
If you have time and opportunity to use yii - of course yii.
With such part-time jobs, it’s not so much earnings that matter as experience, and when there is a specific goal and a person who accepts the result, you get the most useful experience.
There is also such a thing as CMF, most likely it will be much easier and faster for you, I can advise my development: https://github.com/nazar-pc/CleverStyle-CMS
Take a
look at the wiki, if you don’t like it right away, you can forget it. Works much easier than frameworks like Laravel, but still mostly a constructor for writing unique functionality, it looks like just your case.
