Writing Excel macros, what skill do you need?

How difficult is VBA to learn? Can a non-programmer write good macros for Excel just by learning syntax and functions and applying logic?
Advise, please, materials for study.

Considering that Excel has a macro recorder, which should be enough at first, it will not be difficult to figure out how to automate common actions at the beginning.
But in the future, when you need cycles and other operations that you cannot record with this recorder, you will have to look for solutions on the net.
And so, the VBA syntax is not complicated, and understanding and the ability to write correctly will come with experience. So, as it was already said here, the main thing is to perform the task, and there it doesn’t matter anymore, you write this code yourself or limit yourself to a macro recorder

1) You need at least some programming experience (a course at school / institute will be enough)
2) You can simply start looking for solutions on the Internet for the tasks and finish them. At first it will be difficult, but very quickly everything will become clear. (The main thing is to always understand each line, what and why it is done)

You need the skill "The ability to write macros in Excel" A
good macro is one that performs its task. Its beauty and style excites only the task manager. If this is you, then sit down and write. Over time, experience will become more, macros will be better.
