Write 99%. How to find out the real UpTime of the server?

Hello.
On many hostings they write 99.99%, 99% UpTime. How to check the real numbers? No way?
Suddenly 99% is written, and they fall every week.

Monitoring by your own or third-party service. In a year, you will know if they are meeting the SLA.

Usually, if you read the contract carefully, something like
99% UpTime will be buried somewhere, not counting:
planned
force majeure maintenance.
So this is just marketing, if you have the opportunity, see customer reviews and the status of the company page.
about the status page:
If the hosting company is large (thousands of servers), several points of presence, etc., then it is normal that there is often news about the problem here and there, maintenance here and there, it is suspicious when there is little or no news at all.
If it's small, then how lucky.
