Would this configuration work?

There is a physical server with the following characteristics:
- Intel Xeon E5-1410 2.8 Ghz processor,
- 8Gb x 2 RAM, speed 1333MHz.

Now it has Windows Server 2012 Std, MSSQL Server 2008, 1C Enterprise Server and Garant-Server. For a number of tasks ( web server and development servers ), there was a need to use several virtual servers based on VMWare.

Is it reasonable and correct if I install ESXi instead of the installed Windows Server 2012, create the virtual machines I need, and re-install Windows Server 2012 with MSSQL Server 2008, 1C Enterprise Server and Garant Server on one of the virtual machines?

New physical servers refuse to buy.

Plain language- I want to put ESXi on bare metal, and put Win2012Std with all the other goodies in a virtual machine :)

For myself, I would solve the problem directly on Esxi, at least part of the DC and on Hyper-V :) (hello holivars).
I would look at the current peak load and if it does not exceed 20%, I would convert it in real mode to an external box in this server, and after warning users I would stop the 1c cluster service and backup the database in MSSQL.
I hung up ESXi as you plan, transferred the machine from the box, attacked it, deployed a fresh database and gave work to users. And there are the rest of the dances with tambourines that you need.
For good to know what and how are you with the screws? We leave it as standard, but the bases (date \ base device.) To another section.
It is not clear how they connect to the 1c cluster? RDP or clients to work. stations.
Tobish in my case, in the simplest version it would be RAID1 (2 screws) for the OS and for Raid 5 (3 screws) for the rest.
And the File Guarantor is generally up to the "cloud" what's going on :)

Why ESXi and not hyper-in?
You can clone the iron server into virtual ones and separate tasks. Those. in the first virtual machine, remove the guarantor server (without a clue what it is) leaving 1s, in the second removing 1s and leaving the guarantor. On the iron server, remove everything except hyper-in. IMHO this is the most painless way.
