How to restore dpkg update directory?

In general, an error has occurred, the approximate message of which is "the line **** in file 0001 contains the end of the line ..", in the /var/lib/updates directory. Due to my artiodactylism, I deleted this folder, hoping to restore it through sudo dpkg --configure -a. Actually, now this command just asks for this directory:

dpkg: ошибка: не удалось просмотреть каталог обновлений «/var/lib/dpkg/updates/»: Нет такого файла или каталога

How to fix this creation of stupidity?
