Wordpress: Why is one of the menu items redirecting to the main page?
All the pages I've created work when the menu is clicked, but the Works page doesn't. It was on this page that I registered a new post type and linked it to the works page. In order for these pages to appear, I read on wp-kama that you need to save changes to your permalink settings. Having changed the settings, I decided to check the performance of the works page from the menu: when pressed, it redirects to works ( wordpress-dev:8080/works ), but the index.php page is displayed.
Before the permalink settings were saved, everything worked, except for additional pages that could be accessed from the works page.
I'm learning wordpress for the second day, I hope for help

If I understood correctly, then you have registered a new record type works. In order to make a page on which to display all records of the works type, you need to make a template archive-works.php
